Side hustles of all kinds are overtaking traditional work models. Women, in particular are learning that we do not need to be dependent upon a traditional business model to earn money and have the freedom to raise our children or do whatever else we want.

That’s fabulous news, but it’s not as EASY as it looks. It’s very possible, but just like anything else worth having, it’s WORK and you’ve got to get the right things in place to support your chosen side hustle – usually blogging or as a VA, but you could also be a coach, a service provider or many other entrepreneurial models. That’s where I am uniquely positioned to help as Your Fairy Techmother.

As a coach, I bring an unusual combination of skills to the table.

  • Entrepreneur Experience – more than 40 years of experience. I’ve been running a variety of side hustles since the 80’s.
  • Tech skills – I can build websites, manage social media, create graphics and products, teach you SEO and blogging techniques, and set up a whole newsletter system to sell your services and products.
  • Teaching and Coaching – I’m a natural teacher. I love to teach people things and I’ve done it all my life. I’m happy to guide you, do a bit of hand-holding, and give you new ideas to move you in the right direction. And when needed, I’ll kick your butt a bit too – with 3 sons, I have a black belt in motivating people!
  • Business sense – I worked a traditional 9-5 for 40 years, mostly as a Financial Consultant for Wells Fargo. So, I know how to organize work, how to meet deadlines, how to structure a project, and how to communicate clearly and efficiently.
  • Marketing – all these years, I’ve been marketing every day, or I’d have never made a profit. I know how to find and connect with clients, how to make your packages clear and easy to understand, and how to finalize the deal.
  • Small business experience– As a small business owner, for many years, I can advise you on how to set up your business, manage your taxes, track your income and expenses (that’s where my spreadsheet know-how is helpful), and run your small business effectively to create a profit every month.
  • Social media – extensive social media experience will help you out when it comes to getting the word out about what you are offering, and why people will want to work with you rather than a competitor.
  • Out of the box thinking – this is kind of a superpower of mine. I tend to look at things in very unique ways and come up with some innovative ways to approach problems. In the Corporate world, this helped me a lot and was a skill my bosses really valued.

So that makes me uniquely positioned to be a great coach for you. I’ve been in the trenches, so to speak, so I can provide practical tips and real-life experiences to help you. I’ve made a consistent and reliable monthly paycheck from my blogs and VA business every month for the last 10 years. Not a lot of people can say that.

I’m not one of these rah-rah 5-Figure Coaches you see, well – EVERYWHERE. I don’t have an easy 16 step method to guaranteed success (that only works for THEM), and I’m definitely not going to have you cold DM’ing 50 people a day – ugh.

I’m practical, down-to-earth, and downright FUN to work with! I don’t use bootcamp attitudes or yell at you, but I will encourage you, ask the hard questions, and kindly give you honest feedback. I think the term “brutally honest” just misses the point – you can always be kind. I’m a very positive person who ALWAYS thinks there’s a way to move forward on your path.

I’ll work with you to get your specialty nailed down, create clear and compelling offers, set up your billing and contracts. I’ll also teach you how to connect with clients to book Discovery calls.

We’ll do a review of your tech set-up and show you some tech tools that you’ll need to support your business. We’ll also talk about how to represent yourself on social media and how to provide amazing customer service to your clients.

Includes 3 bi-weekly calls – 1 hour each. These will include homework tasks for you before the next call, plus 3 bi-weekly Email check-ins and unlimited Email support.

This is for new or existing bloggers.

We’ll talk about monetization strategies which might include selling products, doing sponsored posts, affiliate marketing, or joining ad networks like Ezoic or Mediavine. I’ll also teach you the basics of SEO and how to boost your Google ranking. Plus I’ll show you any tech tools or systems you’ll need to keep your blog up to date.
