I soon realized this was an ideal service for me to offer. I’ve put together my own side hustles through the years – some successful, some not, so it made sense that I’d be a good resource for people wanting to start a side hustle. Plus, I’ve got the tech skills needed to make it all work.

  • My Side Hustle Background – I’ve got more than 40 years of experience doing all sorts of businesses. I’ve been running a variety of side hustles since the 80’s when I started as an Avon Lady.
  • Tech skills – I can build websites, manage social media, create graphics and products, teach you SEO and blogging techniques, and set up a whole newsletter system to sell your services and products.
  • Teaching and Coaching – I’m a natural teacher. I love to teach people things and I’ve done it all my life. I’m happy to guide you, do a bit of hand-holding, and give you new ideas to move you in the right direction. And when needed, I’ll kick your butt a bit too – with 3 sons, I have a black belt in motivating people!
  • Business sense – I worked a traditional 9-5 for 40 years, mostly as a Financial Consultant for Wells Fargo. So, I know how to organize work, how to meet deadlines, how to structure a project, and how to communicate clearly and efficiently.
  • Marketing – all these years, I’ve been marketing every day, or I’d have never made a profit. I know how to find and connect with clients, how to make your packages clear and easy to understand, and how to finalize the sale.
  • Small business experience – As a small business owner for many years, I can advise you on how to set up your side hustle, manage your taxes, track your income and expenses (that’s where my spreadsheet know-how is helpful), and run your small business effectively to create a profit every month.
  • Social media – my extensive background in social media will help you out when it comes to getting the word out about what you are offering, and why people will want to work with you rather than a competitor. I’m especially skilled at finding clients on LinkedIn and in Facebook groups.
  • Out of the box thinking – this is kind of a superpower of mine. I tend to look at things in very unique ways and come up with some innovative ways to approach problems. In the Corporate world, this helped me a lot and was a skill my bosses really valued.
